Devotions & Offerings

Deeply felt prayers
are poems, songs directed
at Goodness, at Love.

In meditation,
we pause to listen closely,
to the truths of now.

Yoga and Zazen.
May our daily practice serve
the true greater Good.

Gratitude

Appreciation,
attitude of gratitude.
Being thankful for Being.

We give thanks today.
Fortunate to be here, now.
We are still alive.

We give thanks today.
For we are still here, breathing.
Air, life, presence, being.

So lucky we are.|
Very, immensely graced, blessed.
We give thanks today!

Silence and music.
Appreciation for both.
Yes, light. Yes, shadows.

Stillness and movement.
Appreciation to both.
Yes, faith. Yes, doubt too.

Showers of blessings,
Fireworks of light and love.
Must be more than chance.

Thanks for the showers
of priceless unearned presents,
for sheer divine grace.

Acclamation

May we greet each day
with a prayer and a song,
with a cheerful heart.

May in harmony
our musical notes soar, synched.
Melodic, in tune.

Good

No one as you, Good,
knows us well and still loves us
without conditions.

No one as you, Good,
wraps our souls in an embrace
in our suffering.

No one as you, Good,
encourages and soothes us
backstage, quietly.

No one as you, Good,
understands us and calls us
to be our best us.

Charge

The divine order.
May we trust in true Goodness.
That it will prevail.

We rise now with faith.
We surrender to Your light.
With full confidence.

Here Now

Here with Your full strength,
when we feel weakness, meekness.
Now with our strong faith.

Here with Your true calm,
when we feel fear, unease, angst.
Now with our bright light.

Here with Your great love,
when we feel anger, hatred.
Now with our deep peace.

…

Recruits

In your hands, dear Good
we surrender our will.
We’ll do our part still.

In Your hands we are,
the Earth and all its earthlings.
We will do our part.

We enlist to serve
as instruments of Your peace.
Within, and around.

We enlist to serve
as implements of Your light.
Here, and way beyond.

May what was, teach us.
May what is sown, reap Goodness.
May what will be, be.

May Good’s will be done.
And may we learn from it all.
Live and die in peace.

‘If Good so wants it,’
is of our limitations
humble admission.

With love and with faith.
With light and with confidence.
With Gaia and Good.

From grounded sole, soil,
through, to the uplifted soul.
No bypass needed.

Petition

Discernment

May our love be deep,
our speech and deeds clear and wise.
Deep, clean rivers flow.

Planet

May rain come and fall.
May creeks trickle, rush, and flow.
May young saplings grow.

May walking the wood
keep us clear, calm, and cool when
we stand, speak for Good.

 …

May we substitute,
in urban, rural, wild lands,
bullets for soul seeds.

May gun barrels wilt,
like flowers, spent after bloom.
And become compost.

Aspirational?
Yes, as we’re not there quite yet.
Possible? Perhaps.

To pray and to act.
In and for our home planet.
To act and to pray.

To act and to pray.
On behalf of everyone.
To pray and to act.

To pray and to act.
With everything we have, are.
To act and to pray.

Humanity

May we hear others,
listen well to each other.
Reciprocity.

May we see others,
observe through others’ viewpoints.
Wide lens perspective.

When steeped in sorrow,
surrounded by steeps, sinkholes.
May solace find us.

…

Light

May we turn lights on.
May we light up the candles,
make the deep caves glow.

It seems dark out there.
May light illumine our steps,
keep us warm and brave.

…

Guidance

May Love’s light lead us
when our eyes can’t find the path,
when darkness blinds us.

May Love's light lead us
through troubles' trials, travails,
to liberation.

May we find our way
through confusion and conflict,
through challenge and change.

May we all be freed
from worries' webs, snares, traps, tricks.
Love’s wisdom guide us.

Love’s wisdom guide us,
step by step by step by step.
We advance with faith.

…

If Love is true light,
will illuminate our way.
Each of our small steps.

If Love is true peace,
and can calm the stormy seas,
serenity wins.

In this space and place,
we can do what we can do.
May Goodness guide us.

May Goodness guide us,
when lost, sad, afraid, enraged.
May Goodness guide all.

May we serve as guides.
May we ask for wise guidance.
Compass: Love, kindness.

We’ll keep on praying.
May truth and light lead our way
to loving kind ways.

Justice

May our will be pure,
may our acts be fair and true.
Toil both soil and soul.

Our selflessness can
win over our selfishness.
May we allow it.

May we extirpate
ignorance, hatred and greed.
Day by day by day.

May we get rid of
the prejudice pandemic.
Starting with ourselves.

May we dare to care,
to tend to those who need it.
No one left behind.

May we dare to share,
to ensure all get a chance.
No one left without.

Resilience

From scary nightmares
and from impossible dreams,
may we wake up soon.

May our hurts be healed,
and may our hopes be fulfilled,
when our hearts are filled.

 …

May we all stand straight.
May we all stretch far and long.
May we all stay strong.

Energy

May we have enough
energy to energize
what is essential.

May we shed, let go.
Release the superfluous.
Keep the essentials.

Virtues

May we start and end
in good faith and with good will
every brand-new day.

May our head be still.
May our heart of love be full.
May our hands make well.

May we put effort.
And then, only afterwards,
delegate, let go.

…

May we be safe, and
may we be healthy, and may
we be satisfied.

May all of us live
with virtue, serenity.
Selfie smiles in sync.

May we be selfless.
May we know satiation.
May we smile serene.

May peace be with you.
May peace be with all of us.
May peace prevail, rule.

I, thou, namaste.
Om shanti shanti shanti.
Tikkun olam now.

The mantra recites:
Om mani padme hum, yes.
So be it. Amen.
