Water
Rains. I think of you.
Raindrops bring bittersweet tears.
Clouds’ musical score.
Cool, fresh, light drizzle,
birds are tucked in for the night.
There, here, stillness, calm.
May rain come and fall.
May creeks trickle, rush, and flow.
May young saplings grow.
It's raining. Thank you!
Water from heaven. Yes, please!
People, plants party!
Drops of life liquid.
Slip, slide, run down, flow downhill.
Water wets whole world.
Liquid, solid, gas.
Water quenches fires, thirst.
Cleans, revives, and drowns.
Rain-made rocky pond,
mirror for the proud bay tree.
Drink for thirsty deer.
Summer oasis,
surrounded by golden hills.
Lake in the valley.
Brook singing softly,
two owls in conversation.
Be quiet, listen.
Fast-flowing river.
Where is it going, you ask?
Toward the deep seas.
Minimalist art.
The sky's and sea's blue beauty.
No more is needed.
Continuously,
waves rise, break, fall, come and go.
Day and night. Repeat.
Ever constantly,
heartbeats pound, sap and air flow
while there is life still.
Frozen light snowflakes.
Cool early morning dewdrops.
Refresh everything.
Light bright snow blanket
drapes over the mountain ridge.
Only frost down here.
Green, gold mountaintops.
Then, nature shifts her palette.
Silver mountaintops.
It’s impermanent.
Sometimes clear, at times cloudy.
Weather, water, us.
Oh, to see ourselves
in water, mirrors, art, eyes!
Honest reflections.
