The forest beckons.
Invites and welcomes us in.
Trees, creeks, reeds, seeds, peace.

The garden summons.
Saplings grow and plants bear fruit.
Sun, soil, water, faith.

T’was a wet winter,
and a long, cool, soggy spring.
Surprising gardens.

Sky water, soil food,
and light from above, that’s it.
Green growth, flowers, fruit.

The garden, asleep,
dreams of bountiful harvests.
The seeds do their thing.

Every tiny seed.
They know well what they must do,
when and how to grow.

The seeds sprout open,
and the big moon pumpkins swell.
All in their due time.

In the hot compost
leftovers are cooked slowly.
Brand new soil is born.
