Cyclones and wildfires,
on their way they overturn
whatever is there.

…

Drought, heat, mighty winds.
Foliage becomes kindling.
Wildfires, perhaps.

Autumn breezes sing
harmonious lullabies.
Also, requiems.

…

Fueled fiery fires
burn, kill, turn us to ashes.
Emit warmth and light.

Roaring wildfires
devour homes in the forests.
Run away, Bambi!

Red hot fire flames,
duplicitous visitors.
Blazes maim, destroy.

Indeed, and also
flames cast light, reveal footpaths,
warm up our sweet tea.

Radiant flames glow, shine.
Blazes burst, inflame with flames.
Illuminate routes.

Flames incinerate,
reduce to ashes and dust.
Consume (almost) all.

Fire season, done.
We were spared, yes, once again.
That is, some of us.

When the fire burns out,
ashes turn into compost.
The earth births again.
