Beth’s Bus

Beth walks wearing a leg brace. Her school bus is an embrace. 

Music, games, stickers, trinkets, all over the bus. Children’s art fastened by colorful magnetic letters decorates the bus’s ceiling, as on proud parents’ refrigerator doors. 

Beth’s bus is cool, yet the feeling is anything but cold. Her warm smile and voice greet us joyfully as we step into a bus wonderland. 

A ride in Beth’s bus is not an amusement park ride, or a taxi ride, or an Uber ride, or a ride on any other bus in the world. 

When we ride Beth’s bus, we may look out to the outdoors, but often the view outside is not as interesting as the view inside Beth’s bus… Or inside the ‘us.’
