Here we are, fervent,

although at times resistant,

impatient, impetuous, insolent.

Here we are, reverent,

although in part ignorant,

spineless, stubborn, awkward, absent, inconsistent.

We offer what we can,

when, where, as we can,

to the extent that we can.

Goodness knows, and understands,

how to mend, repair, restore, reuse, recommission

even that which is apparently

obsolete, useless, disposable.
