Trust

·       To trust may mean to believe that the sea is calm deep down, and that eventually the surface will calm down.

·       To trust may mean to let go, let ourselves be carried, let ourselves be led.

·       It is difficult to trust, to let go of the reins, to let go of possessions, to let go.

·       To trust may mean to be willing to erect, to extend, and to cross bridges.

·       We can choose to trust that, in some way, everything counts, teaches, serves.

·       We can trust order, and also celebrate chaos.

·       Trust may bring tranquility.

·       Trust may endow hope.

·       Perhaps trust and curiosity can triumph over fear and territoriality.

·       Trust in beyond-human love and guidance may be as true and powerful as it may be relaxing and comforting.

·       We can trust the blank white page, and distrust puritans dressed in white.
