Home Earth
Home Earth, wow!
Awestruck we are by your beauty, by your power,
by the genius of your nature.
Home Earth, thanks!
Nest, cave, burrow, womb for us all.
Faithful mother of those who swim in your seas,
fly through your skies, walk on your soil.
Starting block when we’re to rise,
ending point when we’re to rest.
Home Earth, regrets!
Our human actions have harmed and hurt you.
Yet here we are,
some naive, others innocent,
most ignorant, all responsible.
May we hear your song, your cries, your call.
May we be inspired, instigated, propelled
by your processes, your products, your promises.
May we repair the damage done,
may we restore what we can of yesteryear, this year.
May we proceed with reverence,
with conscience, with prudence, with urgency!
