Families

They are delighted,
in love, sleepless, exhausted.
New baby at home!

They're head over heels.
Precious fairy baby brings
sunshine, light, hope, joy!

Arrived safe and sound,
new child in the family.
Joy, and sleepless nights.

Baby makes them smile.
Tiny creature in huge world.
Baby makes them cry.

Fortunate childhood,
marvel, wonder, questions, joy.
Fun hullabaloo!

Hot day, popsicles.
Sweet, fun, like a good childhood.
To savor and share.

May all, every child
receive our full attention.
They deserve no less.

Under the same roof,
they grew for twenty years.
Fortunate they were.

By the old oak’s shade,
the remainder of their lives.
Forever grateful.

He gets up early
to make breakfast for the kids.
His friends don’t know this.

The kids make a mess.
He swears he’ll never hit them.
He’d learned the hard way.

The kids, off to school.
Both their parents, off to work.
Home, pets, quiet now.

It’s forest bath time.
Mom, dad, a kid and a half,
making memories.

Family of six,
frolicking in the cool surf.
Barefooted joy, fun.

Family of three.
Two humans, a cherished cat.
All shy introverts.

Grandpa takes a nap.
The puppy sleeps at his feet,
dreaming alongside.

They are moving back.
Closer to grandma, uncle.
Grandpa would be glad.

They’re heading back home,
with swollen legs, feet, eyes, hearts.
They hope it’s worth it.

Good sons and daughters,
good grandsons and granddaughters.
They do what they can.

Green Grannies Goods gals,
repurposing with purpose,
all for a good cause.

The new mother grins
when visiting the cradle,
feeling most grateful.
