Affirmations
Intention:
Simply said, an affirmation is a positive assertion. Solemn declarations are also called affirmations. When we affirm something, we express a firm belief in that idea.
Creeds are statements used by religions and other organized groups. The self-help section in bookstores and libraries is full of affirmations. Some use affirmations in psychotherapy to strengthen certain beliefs and inspire constructive behaviors. It is believed that by repeating statements, the ideas they contain are strengthened, while opposing beliefs are weakened. We can affirm what we believe or wish to believe about ourselves, other people, life, etc.
Since affirmations can represent helpful sources of inspiration, we’re invited to list some of our prized affirmations.
Instruction:
Write or copy affirmation statements that are meaningful to you. Include well-known, modified, as well as original affirmations that resonate with your beliefs and aspirations.
You may also incorporate related illustrations and reflections.
Here we offer some guiding questions.
