Compassion

o   Compassion = Comprehension + Caring.

o   Understanding with compassion is love’s main manifestation.

o   The mop of compassion kindly wipes off blood, sweat and tears.

o   The suffering of others calls us to do what we can to alleviate it. Prompts us to appreciate and honor our good fortune, turning compassion into kind, generous action. Reminds us to enjoy and savor what we can, until our turn to suffer comes.

o   If we are all like children, to the extent that we often do not know what we are doing and need to learn, do we not deserve understanding, compassion, forgiveness?

o   Compassion is not pity. Self-compassion is not self-pity.
